Welcoming all Law Society of BC employees to the PEA

Dear PEA members,  

We are excited to share that on March 23, 2026, the BC Labour Relations Board approved the expansion of the PEA’s certification at the Law Society of BC to include all employees. Lawyers there first joined the PEA in 2006, followed by paralegals in 2023 and officers in 2024.  

This new group comprises 139 members, including legal assistants, auditors, forensic accountants, IT specialists, communications professionals, analysts, coordinators, and more. These workers decided on this step to win better wages and benefits, as well as the protections, security, and greater voice that come with union membership.  

Please join me in welcoming these new members to the PEA.
