This winter, the CLC Winter School will be offered in person during January and February 2024 (January 14 – February 16). Each course is one week long on a focused topic. View the course schedule here or visit their website for more information.
There are a limited number of spots for 2024 and popular courses fill up quickly. Without exception, the feedback has been very positive from PEA members who have previously attended Winter School.
The PEA will pay the registration fee and cover union leave for six members and leaders to attend. Those who are interested should submit an expression of interest via the online form below. Members will be selected by random draw and contacted to complete the registration process. Members may require additional approval from their chapter executives. Those who previously applied must apply again to confirm their interest. The deadline for expressions of interest was midnight on October 20. Final attendees will be interviewed for The Professional. Members who submit an expression of interest will be contacted one week following the deadline.
The PEA-funded program is closed, but the Canadian Labour Congress is are accepting applications directly for the Donna Sheaves and the Kim Manton Memorial Scholarships to attend the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) Winter School. Please find the application detail for The Donna Sheaves Memorial Scholarship here and the application detail for The Kim Manton Memorial Scholarship here. The application deadline for both scholarships is Monday, December 4, 2023. All applicants will be evaluated, and the scholarships will be awarded by Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Please submit your application documents via the BCFED.
