SMS 2nd Notice Extension

Dear PEA members,

The school has asked for a second extension to the May 15th lay-off and reduction date indicated in the collective agreement. The union has agreed to allow the school to extend to May 30, 2025.

Article 22.01 g)
SMS agrees to notify tutorial staff who are to be laid off by May 15 of the preceding school year, if the lay-off is to be effective at the start of the next school year and to give two (2) months’ notice in all other circumstances.
