PEA-UVic Webinar and Committee Reminders

Dear PEA members,

Professional Development – Joint Committee
We are looking for your expression of interest for appointment to the Professional Development – Joint Committee.  The PEA representative appointed to this committee will be responsible for Administration of UVic’s Central Professional Development Fund. The Committee acts to allocate funds including the receipt, review and adjudication of applications. You can learn more about the Committee HERE.

Appointments Committee
On this committee, the PEA representative receives, reviews and recommends applicants for appointments to the various Union committees. Updates the appointments record to ensure vacancies are posted and filled appropriately. Supported by the Labour Relations officer, this appointment reports to the Chapter Executive. The anticipated monthly time commitment is one to two hours.

If you are interested in either committee, please email me (sportman@pea.org) a short letter of interest with a brief note on the reason you would like to participate and on the skills or attributes that you can bring to the role.
