PEA-GLP and BCGEU Job Action Update

Dear PEA members,

Public service job action escalated this week as the Government Licensed Professionals Chapter (GLP) of the PEA and the BCGEU continue to push for new collective agreements, including a physical picket line at the BCER Victoria office.

In solidarity, members of the PEA-BCER Chapter at the Victoria office honored the picket line and walked off the job on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

To ensure the continued operation of common work sites, the employer sought an injunction for the Victoria, Kelowna, and Terrace offices. The hearing for the Victoria office took place today, and the court granted the injunction. As a result, PEA-BCER members at the Victoria office will return to work and will not be impacted by any further job action related to the current picket lines.

Hearings for the Kelowna and Terrace offices are scheduled for next week, and we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
