Officers Now Part of the PEA Law Society Chapter

Dear Law Society members,

Yesterday officers working at the Law Society were officially certified by the Labour Relation Board to join the Law Society chapter of the Professional Employees Association. This is a significant step that will mean stronger protections and strength for the new members and greater power and leverage in collective bargaining for existing members. The result will be an even stronger collective agreement for everyone.

As you are aware, preparations are underway to negotiate a new collective agreement. To ensure that the experiences and viewpoints of our new members are taken into account, an officer member will be joining the bargaining committee. The entire committee is committed to representing the distinct needs and concerns of both lawyers and paralegals, while also addressing common interests.
