GLP Professional Reliance Task Force Survey

Dear GLP Agrologists, Engineers, Foresters, and Geoscientists,

The PEA-side of the Joint Professional Reliance Task Force is requesting your participation in the following survey, which seeks information and data on the professionals’ perspective on the recent announcements regarding the introduction of permitting streamlining initiatives and hiring pause.

Take the Survey
The survey will be open until end of day Monday, February 24. Please check your preferred email for a link to the survey.

Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Background
The Joint Professional Reliance Task Force was established in 2019 as a result of the 16th PEA Settlement Agreement, with the goal to develop recommendations to improve the professional reliance model in the public service. With support from the Deputy Ministers Working Group of Organizational Effectiveness under the leadership of Lori Halls, DM of Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship , the mandate of the Task Force was renewed in the 17th PEA Settlement Agreement.

The Task Force consists of members of the GLP Chapter (PEA-side) and Employer representatives (one ADM and Executive Directors). The Task Force operates in the interest of LSOs working in all the Ministries that adopt a professional reliance model.

The Task Force will communicate the results of the survey in a meeting with Deputy Minister Lori Halls, who is the chair of the DM Regulatory Efficiency Board, and to the Deputy Ministers of all Ministries that employ GLP members affected by regulatory efficiency initiatives and the hiring pause.

Please send any questions to me regarding the survey directly.

Thank you,

Sarah Alloisio
PRTF Chair
