Deadline for UVic Chapter Executive Nominations is Oct 1

The deadline for the nominations for the 2021 UVic Chapter Executive Elections is October 1, 2021.

Members of the UVic Chapter Executive are elected by the membership to serve two-year terms. The position of Chairperson and four Director positions are up for election this year. This is a call for nominations to fill these positions immediately following our virtual AGM on November 3, 2021 for a two-year term as per Article 6.3 of the Constitution.

The Chairperson will be the chief executive officer of the Chapter. The Chairperson will preside at all meetings, and sign all contracts, documents or instruments undertaken between the Chapter and other organizations or individuals and will be a delegate to the annual convention of the Association. The Chairperson will have overall responsibility for the general and active management of the business of the Chapter and will enforce and abide by the provisions of the Chapter Constitution and By-Laws.

Directors represent the various interests of the Chapter and will perform duties as may be determined by the Executive. In particular, the Directors must attend monthly local chapter executive meetings. View your chapter constitution here.
