PEA-UVic Collective Agreement Update

Dear PEA members,

This is a brief update on the status of your new collective agreement as everyone settles into the summer season.

I am pleased to advise that the tentative agreement was ratified by the Province of British Columbia and then subsequently by the Board of Governors as of June 12.

While the terms and conditions of the ratified agreement are now in effect, the Employer has not yet been able to advise the Union of the date when retroactive pay or wage adjustments will be completed through payroll and reflected on your pay stub. When we receive this information, we will update the membership.

The Union will be working with the Employer over the summer to review and complete a final version of the renewed collective agreement, which will include all of the significant gains that we have outlined through the ratification process. The final version will be published in hard copy and shared widely online, as soon as this work is completed.
