PEA-HESU Follow Up From Solidarity Action Email
Dear PEA members,
An email was sent to the HESU membership regarding a solidarity action on June 19, 2025. That email has been retracted by the HESU Executive. We regret any confusion or concern the email may have caused.
The PEA and the HESU Executive have met and will continue to meet with the leadership of the HEU to discuss concerns raised by members about issues in the workplace.
For any workplace issues or concerns, be sure to speak to your Team Lead, Director or Coordinator. There are Occupational Health and Safety Worker Representatives to address OH&S concerns and to assist in filing reports. There are also Union Stewards for initiating grievances or supporting you in difficult situations or conversations. All parties have an obligation and responsibility to provide workers, staff and management, a healthy, safe and respectful workplace.
We will continue to listen to members and work together so that our labour movement is strong, united and ready for the hard work ahead. Thank you for everything you do, every day, to help workers.
In solidarity,
Bal Sandhu
PEA-HESU Chapter President
