Melissa Moroz Appointed as the PEA’s New Executive Director
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Melissa Moroz as the new Executive Director of the Professional Employees Association (PEA). With over two decades of experience in the labour movement and a steadfast commitment to advancing workers’ rights, Melissa embodies the belief that union members truly own their union. Her leadership will be instrumental as we embark on the next phase of growth for the PEA.
For the past 13 years, Melissa has excelled as a Labour Relations Officer at the PEA, providing invaluable support to nearly all of our chapters. Her proven track record, strategic vision, and unwavering dedication to our union uniquely positions her to guide the PEA in addressing the evolving needs of our members.
In the coming two months, Melissa will collaborate closely with Scott McCannell to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities. Additionally, she will continue to lead the Government Licensed Professional (GLP) Bargaining Team during the upcoming round of negotiations in 2025.
Please join me in congratulating Melissa on this well-deserved appointment. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of her leadership in shaping the future of the PEA.
Best regards,
Cliff Haman
