Dear PEA members,

Our bargaining unit is busy preparing for bargaining our new collective agreement and have confirmed that we will be meeting with the Employer from August 10-12. We are also in the process of having t-shirts made in support of bargaining for all members.

Save the date: AGM
Please save the date of our fall AGM, which will be held on Tuesday, September 14 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. More details will be shared closer to the date.

Emergency Evacuation Allowance
Please be aware of Article 16.13 Evacuation Leave from our collective agreement:

a) The employer shall provide one (1) day of paid leave for employees under evacuation order from their residence due to environmental threat.

b) The employer shall provide one (1) day of paid leave for employees under evacuation alert from their residence due to environmental threat.

Benefit Usage
We’re more than halfway through the year so this is your reminder to use the benefits from your health and dental plan.
