PEA-HESU Retro Payments

Dear PEA-HESU members,

I have now received confirmation from the employer on expected retro payments:

  • The employer is intending to pay retro for wages this week, but has noted that due to the transition to the new payroll system, there may be delays.
  • The new transportation allowance for September was paid on last week’s payroll. Going forward, it will  be paid at the beginning of each month as per the collective agreement.
  • There is no confirmed timeline for payment of retro per diem amounts. The employer confirmed in bargaining that this piece would require significant time, and that they would pay the per diem retro before the end of the calendar year.
