Bullying & Harassment in the Workplace Training

We will be offering Bullying & Harassment in the Workplace training to current local reps and chapter and association executive members. Union leave will be provided and travel costs will be covered.

WHEN: November 7 and 8, 2024, 8:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.

WHERE: PEA offices, Victoria BC

Taught by Dayna Sykes, this course is designed to give union activists tools to address workplace harassment and bullying. The course will look at defining harassment under prohibited grounds, as well as the legal frameworks outside of the prohibited grounds. Topics will include:

– Workplace policies
– Collective agreements
– Contributing factors to bullying and harassment
– Laws and regulations
– Strategies to resolve complaints
– How to support members who come forward.
